eStragand.com launches ES Board!
Denver- March 31, 2004- As part of their
30th Anniversary Celebration, the EStragand Corporation
held a press conference today, to announce the latest addition to
their website- the long-rumored ESBoard. An interactive forum/message board
that will allow visitors, users, fans and non-fans of eStragand.com
to voice their opinions.
"We feel this new forum functionality will act as a great forum
for visitors to share thoughts, ideas, jokes and recipes" said
the eStragand PR lackey. "We also feel that this will allow
a more direct line of communication to.. how do they say...
RAP... with our audience." The PR lackey then left for a court date.
The new ES Board wil be available at the following URL:
http://www.estragand.com/invboard/
Visitors of eStragand.com are encouraged to go there, register and
use the many features of the forum. If you need to sound off on
something you read on the website, or want to add your own
columns or share a joke, this is the place to do it, bunky.
The ES Board link will also (eventually) be available
by clicking the "guestbook/interact" button in the bottom left
corner of every page on the website.
Categories will be somewhat related to the common eStragand.com structure.
The content and jokes on eStragand.com can become redundant and stale..
that's why we encourage YOU to contribute.
The "music" category can be used to set up bootleg trades,or to post
your thoughts about tunes or concerts. The semi-popular
"Rasslin" section also has its own category on the forum. Use this
category for your retro-rasslin fix or to set up video tape trades.
The initial topics were
picked with regards to what the eStragand staff feels are worth discussing, and that are also
semi-popular and dynamic. The structure is open to changes and modifications based
on feedback and use.
The ES Board is based on the Invision Power Board. Invision's interface is fairly easy to use.
However, if you've already registered with another Invision Board, you will need to
re-register for the ES Board. The ES Board WILL be moderated... so please
think twice before typing. For instance, a decent topic would be: "Yankees-Devil Rays Series".
A shitty topic would be: "Where can I find fudge?" (well, I dunno..that might
be interesting as well). In other words, if you wouldn't have a conversation about the topic,
don't TYPE about it! Finally, I think it would go without saying, but please
refrain from any slander or flame wars.
The attending crowd at the press conference was
rather thrilled and admired the mylar balloons.
Colorado Governor Bill Owens was on hand and stated: "This proves that Colorado is a
dynamic, interactive and exciting state, with generally nice weather".
