INFO-(Letters/Mail Sack)

Recent e-mails that have ended up in my "random/website" mailbox. Most deal with topics on the site, so always feel free to send in your questions/comments/ rent checks. I don't receive enough of these to do weekly updates, so I just wait a few months for them to coagulate and build up.

the coolest band in history, bad brains. good to read about your concert experience, they are incredible. do you ever hear of concert information? they are so hard to track.

Bad Brains/Soul Brains came through Boulder in late January 2003. I was unable to attend, but every now and then I get updates from Bad Brains devotees.

To Whom It May Concern:
I was looking at your Captain America site, and I stumbled on the pics from the movie that was made. My question is this: I just bought a sportbike motorcycle and it is red, white, and blue. I wanted to think of a clever nickname for it, and I thought if I could find the name of Captain America's bike, it would be too appropriate. Any help?

So I'm looking through the movie and, as far as I know, Cap's bike did not have a special name. Bummer. But, I remember Hero's World ran some cheesy ads in just about every 1970's comic, where they advertised the "Captain Ameri-cycle". One of those crank n' launch motorcycle toys. Like the Evil Kneivel bike or the Team America toys.

Yeah, "Ameri-cycle" is not too catchy or creative of a name... if it was me, I'd name the bike "Bucky". Or, even better, "US Steel". That names sounds infinitely cooler if you're from Pittsburgh...so I may be biased.

Oh yeah, and remember to wear a helmet. Cap would be proud. Face front, true believer.

Could you make a Curt Hennig Mr. Perfect Best of tape

Sorry, but I don't have a high speed taping dubbing machine, so I'd have to sit through over 100 hours of footage to find all my Curt Hennig matches. But, if enough people bug me about a certain request, I might feel obliged to help them out.

i was one your bootleg trading site, and i would like to know what is the special portable microphone recorder thing that u need to record a concert which u are at, becasue i go to many and i would like to invest in one of these bootleg recorder. its just the sound i want to record, not video. Please get back to me

There's been some confusion over in the music section lately, but I DO NOT record my own bootlegs. I just trade with people who have copies of certain shows. There are two shows that I've attended, and that I also have the bootlegs of ( Iron Maiden and Tool at Red Rocks), but I did NOT record these...just found someone who had a copy. I have no recording equipment, nor do I know what equipment to use. Maybe someone can help us out on this one.

I have one of original Fabulous Kangaroo boomerangs that Roy and Al would spin into the crowd back in the early 1960's. I am interested in selling it for the right price. Can you lead me to a web site or auction site where I can do that. Thanks!

Obviously, the most popular auction site would be eBay. There's lots of wrestling memorablia sold on there all the time. You could promote your auction via several old-school wrestling message boards/forums. The forum at www.kayfabememories.com comes to mind. It's a site that specializes in reminiscing about pre-1989 pro wrestling. Just be friendly when posting your message, there... if you sound too much like a salesman, your message will probably be deleted. You may want to contact the forum's moderator to check, first.

Would you mind sending me the first 4 lines of the song. It's killing me trying to remember it. Thank you.

From the late 60's Marvel cartoons:

---------
When Captain America throws his mighty shield,
All those who chose oppose his shield must yield.

If he's lead to a fight and a duel is due,
Then the red and white and the blue'll come through.

When Captain America throws his mighty shield.
--------------

The theme from the TV movie had no lyrics.. just a generic synthesizer tune that sounded like a cross between the theme from "CHiPs" and the theme from "Rockford Files".

Here's a bonus for Cap's partner from "Tales of Suspense"- Iron Man!

---------
(first verse sung by a chic)
Tony Stark
Makes you feel He's a cool exec.
With a heart of steel.

(second verse, sung by manly men)
As Iron Man,
All jets ablaze,
He fights and smite'n
With repulsor rays!

(thid verse/chorus, both alternate)
A blaze of power!
Iron Man!
Amazing armor!
Iron Man!
---------------
