COMICS-get YOUR Avengers Priority Identi-card

The other week I was rummaging through the bowels of the eStragand vaults and found an old Avengers Priority Indenticard. These were semi-rigid cardboard, given away as free promo items to herald the launch of "Solo Avengers. Featuring Hawkeye" circa 1986 or so. They were actual size replicas of the cards used by the Avengers in the comic books. Keep a sharp eye out, and you'll see Captain America flashing one of these things, every now and then. Of course, in the comics, the Identicards have extra features, like holgraphic imaging, instant satellite tele-conferencing and free donuts at Winchell's. My card did not have any of the those features...but I did use it to get a free bus ride once, in seventh grade.

The card was a little yellow, but I was able to scan it in, clean it up and convert it to a customizable PDF. The original featured faux signatures of US President Ronnie Reagan and National Security Council Director Raymond Sikorski. I updated these by adding faux signatures of George W. Bush and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. I couldn't find a signature of Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice, so I altered the card to include Rumsfeld.

This is a customizable PDF, that should print out at typical ID badge size. You can type your own name in the "authorized cardholder" line before printing, or you can be spiffy and autograph the final version, after you've printed it. When you view the actual PDF, it may show a grainy PREVIEW image on your computer. The final version should be crisp, however. Let me know if the print quality sucks, or of any other errors.

I'm assuming you have Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 or higher. If you don't have an Acrobat Reader (then, you also are probably not aware that we beat the Germans in WWII) you can click HERE to download it for free.
